📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Top Tier. We know Mark Stoops is an amazing coach. I mean, just look at the team record this season. But more eyes were on him this past weekend when he led the team to victory and embodied scholarship, leadership, and integrity. With this, Stoops was selected as Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week. If he keeps up the hard work, Stoops could be the 2023 Dodd Trophy winner, which will be announced during the week of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

🔼 Anotha’ One. One award for Jeremy Flax just wasn’t enough for a skilled offensive lineman. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound senior was named the first Outland Trophy National Player of the Week. It is the third oldest major college football award, being around for 78 years now, that’s given to the best interior lineman. Flax now has a chance to be the big winner of the 2023 Outland Trophy, which will be announced on Dec. 7 or 8 on The Home Depot College Football Awards.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Big Margin. The Wildcats 33-14 win over the Gators is the largest margin of victory since a long time ago.

Today’s question— what year was the last highest margin of victory win for the Wildcats?

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Dealing Out. This has to be the most honors in a week for the Wildcats, with football, soccer, and now volleyball all earning awards. Speaking of volleyball, two Wildcats took home weekly honors: Brooklyn DeLeye for SEC Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week and Emma Grome for SEC Setter of the Week. These are the first honors for DeLeye and the first honors for Kentucky this season.

DeLeye had 25 kills against both Georgia and Alabama. She’s the first Kentucky freshman to have 20+ kills in back-to-back matches since All-American Leah Edmond in 2016. Grome set a new season high with 58 assists against Alabama. She has hit 50+ assists in three of four SEC matches so far.
