🔼 Finalist. Track and field superstar Carlie Makarawu was named a finalist of The Bowerman Award Watchlist for the 2024-25 collective season. Makarawu capped off his best season in Kentucky indoor track history with a National Championship performance at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships.

🔼 Relay Results. The track and field team competed at the Texas Relays. Ariel Pedigo finished fifth in the women’s javelin final. Ava Alexander posted the 10th-fastest time in program history in the women’s 400m hurdles prelims with a 59.37 mark. Shane Racey took third in the men’s pole vault.

🔼 Champ Stats. Four Kentucky swim and dive athletes started competition at the NCAA Championships. Sam Duncan placed 42nd in the 1-meter dive. Carson Hick beat his own program record to advance to the 500 free B Final with a time of 4:10.27. Hick finished the final with a 4:11.62, making him the 11th fastest 500 free swimmer in the country. He was also named an All-American.

Awards! Three UK Athletics staff members and two greats were awarded at the Sarah Bennett Holmes Awards Luncheon held by the UK Women’s Forum.
