📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Sweep Sweep. Bring out the brooms because Rifle swept the weekend! The Cats took down Army 4732-4690 and Nebraska 4723-4696. The team is now 8-1 this season and posted its second-highest team aggregate score of the season— 4732 against Nebraska. 

Sofia Ceccarello took home aggregate honors with a total of 1188 and led in smallbore with a 591 score against Army. Allison Buesseler led in air rifle against Nebraska with a 598 score. Kentucky is ranked No. 3 and faces Murray State on Jan. 21.

🔼 Double Down. What’s the best way to start the new year? How about a double-header sweep by women’s tennis? The Cats were victorious in their first two matches of the season, beating ETSU 5-2 and Miami (OH) 7-0.

Two athletes went undefeated for the day— Lidia Gonzalez had a pair of wins in both singles and doubles, and Zoe Hammond had a pair of singles wins and a doubles win. This was also first-year head coach Shelley Jaudon’s first two wins under her belt at Kentucky.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Go Big Blue! The stunt team put on a show at its scrimmage at Frederick Douglass High School. The Blue team came out on top with a 15-11 final score. The set up of the scrimmage was three routines in each quarter of the four quarters. The fourth quarter is when the Blue team took a big lead, with each routine earning them up to three points.
