📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Round 1 Complete. The women’s tennis team began the Southeastern Conference Tournament with a 4-1 win over Mississippi State. The Cats won the doubles point and three singles matches. Ellie Eades clinched the win for Kentucky after defeating Chloe Cirotte 6-3 and 6-4 on court three. Next up, the women play Auburn tonight at 6 p.m. ET.

🔼 Run Ruled. The softball team only needed five innings to take down Western Kentucky. The Cats won 12-3, and Taylor Ebbs ran the show. Ebbs had five runs batted in off of a two-run double and a three-run home run. Grace Lorsung hit her 13th homer of the season. Overall, the Cats had 10 hits and moved to 27-15 on the season.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Award Earning. In softball’s series against Georgia this past weekend, the leftfielder made a crucial first out of the seventh inning catch up against the fence. This player also logged a .667 batting average to earn her SEC Player of the Week.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Conference Honors. Three Wildcats were named to All-SEC teams for the 2023-24 season— Levi Sandidge to the Second Team, Carson Hick to the men’s All-Freshman Team and Madi McGlothen to the women’s All-Freshman Team. This is Sandidge’s second consecutive All-SEC Award. Hick set top-10 program times twice in the 500-yard freestyle in the championship. McGlothen finished first in the C-Final of the women’s 400 individual medley in the championships.
