Good morning! We’re starting this week off by congratulating Kentucky-great Will Levis on signing his rookie contract with the Tennessee Titans! He was the 33rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Three’s Company. Talkin’ season is over, which means we’re one step closer to football season! But before that, we have a few more preseason honors from the media members of SEC Media Days. Three Wildcats were named to the 2023 Preseason All-SEC teams, with one player on the second team and two on the third team. Defensive lineman Deone Walker was named second-team defense, while offensive lineman Eli Cox and linebacker J.J. Weaver were named to the third-teams. Deone Walker is on the Lott IMPACT Trophy watch list. The Wildcats were picked to finish fourth in the SEC East.

🔼 Mic’d Up In Toronto. The Wildcats went 4-0 in Toronto at GLOBL JAM last week with wins over Team Germany, Team Canada, and Team Africa to win the tournament. Antonio Reeves received the tournament MVP award and scored 18 points in the gold medal game. Today’s special treat for you is student assistant coach Tyler Ulis mic’d up during the win over Team Africa.

🔼 Signed, Sealed, & Delivered. Four Wildcats signed MLB contracts after three were drafted two weeks ago. The group of new MLB pitchers include Austin Strickland, Magdiel Cotto, Logan Martin, and Seth Chavez. Austin signed his contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates alongside Magdiel, Logan signed with the Kansas City Royals, and Seth signed with the Tampa Bay Rays.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Super Season. The Wildcats had a great baseball season, racking up 40 wins for the seventh time in school history and making an NCAA Super Regional for just the second time. This feat wouldn’t have been possible without a star-studded roster. Four of those players signed MLB contracts this week.
