⛳️ Fifth place finish
🏐 SEC Weekly Honors
🔵 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Low Rounds. The women’s golf team has a huge improvement, finishing in fifth place at Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational. The team had a total of 874 (+10). In the third round, the Wildcats hit -2, which is their third-best round this fall. Lane Frye finished fourth overall with a score of 209 (-7), and Marissa Wenzler was close behind at 215 (-1). The team is done with fall tournaments and will return in February.

🔼 Set of Winners. Three of our Wildcat volleyball players were recognized by the Southeastern Conference for their outstanding performance in last week’s competition. Brooklyn DeLeye earned SEC Freshman of the Week after hitting 10+ kills in four consecutive matches. She even became Kentucky’s first freshman to have three-straight double-doubles since 2017.

Junior Eleanor Beavin earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week after averaging five digs per set and had a season-high 23 digs. It was her second match with 20+ digs this season. The opponents targeted her, but she outstood them with all of her saves. And our third athlete to earn an honor is, no surprise, Emma Grome. Grome was named Setter of the Week as she averaged 13.75 assists per set and had 50+ assists in two matches. She also hit the 3,000 mark in career assists.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Final Four. The women’s soccer team only has four games left of conference play, and they will face Mississippi State, Georgia, Missouri, and Ole Miss, where they will look to increase the number of goals it already has this season.

Today’s question— what is the total number of goals the team has so far this season?

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Twin Cats. Women’s soccer also pulled up with some Weekly Honors by the SEC. Our big goal scorer of the week, Úlfa Úlfarsdóttir, earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week. This is her first ever SEC Weekly Award, and she also hit a career-high of three game-winning goals. Úlfarsdóttir is 3-3 from the penalty spot and scored two goals, one against both Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Marz Josephson was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week, also her first Weekly Award in the SEC, as she broke out her brick wall on defense. Josephson had six saves, one of which was a penalty kick, against Tennessee. She also made two more saves against Vanderbilt to put her at eight wins for the season and leads the SEC with seven shutouts.
