🔼 Top Cats. The University of Kentucky Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026 was announced Thursday, with Paul Calhoun (football), Tim Duckworth (men’s track and field), Leah Edmond (volleyball), Patty Jo Hedges-Ward (women’s basketball), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (men’s basketball) and Asia Seidt (women’s swimming and diving) chosen for induction. The new Hall of Famers will be inducted during Hall of Fame Weekend on September 25-26.
🔼 Going Pro! Men’s basketball player Otega Oweh was selected No. 41 in the 2026 NBA Draft. Oweh was drafted by the Miami Heat, and then his rights were traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is the 147th all-time selection for the Kentucky men’s basketball program. This also marks a nation-leading 19th straight draft in which a UK player has been drafted. Oweh would be joining two other Wildcats in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Cason Wallace in Oklahoma City. Gilgeous-Alexander is the two-time reigning most valuable player.
Only School in the Nation. Kentucky is the only school in the nation with men’s basketball, women’s basketball and football having top-10 transfer portal classes.
