Good Morning, Wildcats. The baseball team showed us all the love on Valentine’s Day, wrapping up its season opener with a sweep!

 🔼  UPSET! The No. 18 women’s basketball team beat No. 14 Ole Miss 74-57 on Sunday. Clara Strack had 28 points and nine rebounds. Asia Boone followed with 15 points. Kentucky had 22 points off 14 Ole Miss turnovers. The Cats shot 50.9% from the field and 36.8% from deep.

🔼 Sweep! The No. 18 baseball team swept its season opener against UNC Greensboro. Kentucky started with a 13-2 victory on Friday. The pitchers set a school record with 20 strikeouts in a nine inning game. The Cats finished the weekend with 11-3 and 10-6 wins on Saturday. Ethan Hindle stole four bases in the last game.

🔼 Court Report. The women’s tennis team swept its Saturday doubleheader. The Cats beat Xavier 6-1 and Chicago State 6-0. The team is now 6-1 overall this season.

🔼 Multiple Wins. The stunt team had a victorious weekend. The Cats swept their Friday competitions against Arizona State and Texas Women’s University. They won 33-12 and 28-11. On Saturday, the Cats beat Michigan State 28-15 and fell to Oklahoma Baptist 29-26.

🔼 Day One. The women’s golf team played 36 holes at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational on Sunday. The Cats are tied for eighth place with a score of 37-over par. Cathryn Brown leads the team tied for 11th place individually.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Titles Won. The No. 25 gymnastics team fell to No. 7 Missouri by the smallest margin possible in collegiate gymnastics, 196.825-196.800.

🔵 ONE BIG THING

On Track. The track and field team competed in the Tiger Pay Invite and David Hemery Invite this past weekend. Emmi Scales won two events on day one. She reclaimed the top spot in the national 60m hurdles rankings. Ed Bird broke his own UK program 3000m record. On day two, Vanice Kerubo Nyagisera posted the program’s best 800m time.
