Big Blue Boo is Back!

The Kentucky softball team will host the Big Blue Boo presented by UK HealthCare on Friday, October 10 at 7pm ET. The fall festival will begin at 5:30pm. Click here for more info.

🔼 Ranked Win. The men’s soccer team won its first game of the season. The Cats beat No. 20 Western Michigan 2-1. Newcomer Alex Ruiz scored both goals, one in the first half and one in the second. Kentucky had eight shots, and seven were on goal. Western Michigan only had two shots on goal. Sebastian Conlon had one save and one allowed goal.

🔼 Three-Peat. The women’s soccer team won its third game of the season. The Cats beat East Tennessee State 2-1. Alexis Tylenda secured her second brace in three matches. She has five goals through the first eight days of the season. Kentucky had 11 shots, and six were on goal. Goalkeeper Cisse Khadijah had two saves in the first half, while Megan Holland had three saves and allowed one goal in the second half.

🔼 Keep Runnin’. Running back Seth McGowan was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List. The award is presented to the nation’s top-most outstanding Division I offensive player who graduated from a Texas high school or plays at a four-year college in Texas. McGowan is a native of Mesquite, Texas.

Mark the Calendar! The men’s tennis team released the 2024 fall schedule. The Cats will compete in seven tournaments. Competition will begin on Aug. 31. The season will end at the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships on Nov. 18.
