Good morning. He’s only played one game, but we can’t stop thinking about him.

What else are we mixing into today’s Brew?

🏀 Catfight victory
🎯 2nd place finish
🔵 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Wildcats > Tigers. Kentucky showed us who the best Cat was on Sunday as the women took down the Missouri Tigers 76-71. Eniya Russell led the team with 20 points, with Maddie Scherr right behind with 19. Ajae Petty secured herself another double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Saniah Tyler was also in double figures with 10 points. The women had fun celebrating Russell coming off the bench afterward.

🔼 Within 5. Kentucky rifle competed at the Withrow Invitational and finished second in the five-team event. The Cats finished with 4712, just five points behind first-place Murray State. Sofia Ceccarello dominated in both smallbore and air rifle with scores of 589 and 598. Overall, the team ended with 2332 in smallbore and 2380, the best team score, in air rifle.

🔼 #💯. The SEC selected D.J. Wagner as Freshman of the Week after averaging 12.5 points and 6.0 assists per game in the Cats victories over Mississippi State and Georgia. The selection marks the 100th SEC Freshman of the Week honor for the Wildcats during the John Calipari era. Wagner got his first double-double against Georgia, where he had 18 points and a career-high 10 assists.

🔼 Right Behind. The gymnastics team faced LSU and fell by just .525 points. The final score of the meet was 198.125-197.600.

🤔 BIG BLUE TRIVIA

Winning Streak. The men’s tennis team just got another dub and moved up to No. 10 in the rankings! I think it’s appropriate to start a win streak count now.

Today’s question— how many wins does men’s tennis have so far this season?

🔵 ONE BIG THING

Clawing Back. The men’s tennis team had a challenge this weekend against the University of Illinois but ended victorious. Eli Stephenson and Taha Baadi totaled three set wins to pull the Cats ahead of the Fighting Illini 4-3. Baadi, who led the team in clinches last season, continued his late-match magic as he helped clinch the win this past weekend.
